QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about IWD Awards Season 6.

The IWD Awards are the annual awards of Indian Women in Dubai, now in their sixth season, celebrating Indian women achievers across the UAE in over 30 categories spanning business, corporate careers, STEM and AI, health and fitness, the creative arts, hospitality, real estate and social work.

More than 200 women have been recognised across five seasons since 2021, from bakers and doctors to corporate leaders, artists and young achievers under 18. Every winner is listed on our season pages.

The IWD Awards have been graced by Mandira Bedi, Sudha Chandran, Sameera Reddy and Lisa Ray as chief guests across the seasons, alongside the Consul General of India and guests from across Dubai's business and diplomatic community.

It is a red carpet evening for over 500 guests in a five star ballroom, held at venues including Taj Exotica on Palm Jumeirah and Zabeel Ladies Club, with fashion shows, performances and coverage in Khaleej Times, Gulf News and News on AIR.

Season 6 has over 30 categories. Business categories include Entrepreneur, Baker, MasterChef, Restaurants, Salon Service, Makeup Artist, Photographer, Interior Designer, Home Decor, Event Decor, Event Organiser, Gifting, Travel Agents, Real Estate, Health and Fitness, Artist and Coaches.

Professional categories include Corporate Career, Doctors, Woman in STEM and AI, Social Media Influencer, Podcast Host and Sports. Creative categories cover Dancer, Singer, Model and Designer, and recognition categories include Homemaker, Social Work and Humanitarian, and Young Achiever under 18.

Nominations for Season 6 are open now and close on 30 September 2026. You can nominate another woman or nominate yourself, and a nominal entry fee applies. Anyone can be nominated, subject to eligibility rules.

To nominate, email info@indianwomenindubai.com or join the IWD Awards community for the nomination link. Previous IWD Awards winners can enter again only for a separate or newly established venture.

Every nomination goes through a six stage process. Nomination posters are published on the IWD Instagram, the IWD Facebook page and the IWD Facebook private group, and public voting runs until 5 October 2026, with likes and comments on each of the three platforms carrying equal weight.

The top three nominees in each category then go to an independent jury, which reviews their profile, work and achievements. A final credibility and background verification stage confirms that every claim is authentic before winners are announced.
